Frequently Asked Questions

Most common warranties on the paint of metal roof panels are 40 years. Typical shingle roofs carry a 20 to 25 year warranty. 

We usually ask for a 3-business day window. This does not mean that it will always take that long, as there are times that the workload is either less or more depending on the season. 

We are only a manufacturer and supplier of materials. We do, however, have a couple of preferred installers if you need someone to install. The contractor would work for you, not for us. 

We offer a discount for contractors with a contractor license. We also look at large jobs, greater than 50,000 SQ FT, on an individual basis.

That said, we work hard to offer the lowest price possible on all of our products. If you find a lower price on equivalent materials and/or supplies elsewhere, please bring it to our attention.

Essentially, “Factory Second” coils are a coil that has not passed the quality approval of a standard metal roofing coil. When the metal is being painted at the factory, many things could possibly happen. A paint gun may malfunction part of the way through the process, or the paint may not match. Once these issues are noticed, they cut those sections out of the whole coil to make a coil of their own. These coils are sold for a discounted price. With that in mind, these coils still offer a 40-year paint warranty.  

Yes, credit and debit cards are accepted for payment at Core Metal Roofing and Supply. It must be noted that credit and debit card transactions carry an additional 2% fee on top of the total. This, unfortunately, is out of our control. 

Monday – Friday we are open from 8am to 5pm. On Saturday we are open from 8am to 12pm noon. We are closed on Sunday.

We offer a standard delivery fee of $85 within a 35-mile radius. If it is beyond the 35 miles, a $2 charge for each additional mile after the original 35. 

We do not offer a set “package” for pole-buildings. We do offer pole-building estimates based on each individual’s needs.

Underlayment, essentially, serves 1 of 2 purposes. One purpose is to act as protection between the panel and shingles. Shingles directly under a panel will basically be like sandpaper. Over time, natural small movements in the earth can cause the shingles to rub off the protective paint coating on the back of the panel. This may eventually lead to premature failure of the metal, and even rust. The other purpose of underlayment is to act as a vapor barrier. Metal has a tendency to “sweat” during certain times of the year. This may cause any wood that is directly under the panel to swell and contract over time. This may cause any fasteners to eventually work their way loose, causing possible leaks. As such, it is recommended to place the underlayment on top of the furring strips rather than under the furring strips. 

Our delivery vehicle is a Ford F-350 Dually with a pull-behind 28-foot flatbed trailer that tilts. There must be enough room to get this in and out of the location. If the delivery must be hand unloaded, an additional $85 fee will be applied to accommodate the extra person. Also, any damage after the delivery is not Core Metal Roofing and Supply’s responsibility.
